Raiders @ Chiefs 8:15pm
Raiders +7.5 (-115)
In this primetime Monday Night Football game, we are siding with the road dogs for a few reasons. First, the Raiders don't have a good win/loss record at the moment (1-3), but they have run the ball effectively through the first 4 weeks of the season. The Raiders are averaging 5 yards per carry, and their run blocking grade is top 5 in the NFL. The Chiefs run defense is ranked middle of the pack, so this will be an interesting matchup to keep an eye on tonight. The Raiders will have all 3 of their top receiving weapons available tonight (Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, Darren Waller). In theory, this should be the best version (or the most healthy version) of the Raiders offense that we have seen this season. Another alarming signal for us on the Chiefs side is the large public split on the tickets and money. The public is all over the Chiefs in this game with spread bets, moneyline bets, parlays, teasers, etc. Simply put, the books need the Raiders to show up tonight. In these primetime liability games, we prefer to side with the books rather than the public. Since 2020, the Chiefs are 7-17 against the spread in games that they are favored by more than a field goal. Our bet is one unit on the Raiders to spoil the party tonight and cover. Enjoy the game!
