North Carolina @ Wake Forest 7:30pm
North Carolina +4.5 (-110)
These two teams are trending in complete opposite directions. North Carolina has won 5 straight, and looks to have one of the brightest QB prospects in the nation. Wake Forest has lost 2 straight, and their offense has committed 9 turnovers in the last 8 quarters. Wake Forest will have the edge in the trenches and on the defensive side of the ball. However on offense, we give the edge to UNC. For us, +4.5 points is too many for us to pass on given the trajectory of these teams. We will look for Drake Maye to keep this offense rolling tonight. Our bet is a half unit on North Carolina to cover.
Ole Miss vs. Alabama 3:30pm
Ole Miss +12 (-110)
Nick Saban has had a lot of success against his former assistant coaches. The individuals who have left Nick Saban for head coaching jobs, and then went on to face Saban, are 2-25 against him. The two former assistant coaches who have beaten Nick Saban are Jimbo Fisher and Kirby Smart. Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin has faced Saban and Alabama twice in his coaching tenure at Ole Miss. Kiffin lost by 15 points in 2020, and lost by 21 points last season. That being said, this Alabama team does not look to have the same firepower of the previous two seasons. It's either that, or we are finally starting to see some of these other big SEC programs catch up to them. This 2022 Alabama team has struggled on the road. Not only are they failing to cover these large numbers, but Alabama has dropped several of them outright. Bama lost last week at LSU, they lost at Tennessee, and barely beat Texas (won by 1 point). We faded Bama in those spots, and we are going to do it again here. We will grab the 12 points and look for Ole Miss to keep this game competitive. Our bet is one unit.
TCU @ Texas 7:30pm
TCU +7 (-105)
This looks to be a bit of a trap spot for TCU. It's not often that you will see the #4 team in the nation (9-0) be a 7 point underdog to a team with 3 losses. TCU has played a lot of good football teams over the course of this 9-0 run. TCU is 4-1 in Austin since they joined the Big 12, so they are no strangers to winning in this stadium. Texas has the edge defensively, but we believe this TCU offense will hang with Texas and keep this game within 7 points. Given the odd nature of this line, our bet is a half unit only.
