UC San Diego has quietly been one of the more impressive teams in the country to start the season. They are 3-0 straight up and against the spread, and they've beaten every opponent by double digits. UC San Diego was a dog in 2/3 of those games, including being a (+14.5) point dog against Cal. Our numbers suggest this should be closer to a pick em, so we will gladly grab the (+5.5) points. After a terrible 0-2 start to the season, this Pitt team has tightened things up on the defensive side of the ball. Pitt has won 2 games in a row behind their defensive efforts. Last Wednesday (November 17th), this Vanderbilt team scored just 37 points against VCU. No that is not a typo, they scored 37 points the entire game. Our numbers suggest this game will be tight and go down to the wire, so we will grab the home dog!

Both of these teams are coming off of tough losses. All of our data and resources have this game staying within single digits. The reason this is only a half unit play is because there has been some strange line movement. The public money is slightly behind Pepperdine, but the line is moving toward TCU. It feels like we are being baited on Pepperdine here, but we are going to trust the numbers and play it for a half unit.
