Rams @ Cardinals 4:05pm
Rams -2.5 (-115)
After dealing with some significant injuries throughout this season, the Rams are relatively healthy today. Cooper Kupp may be at slightly less than 100%, but he’s good enough to play. This will be one of the first games all season where the Rams have all of their key offensive players (Stafford, Kupp, Nacua, Higbee, Atwell, and Williams) in the lineup. The Cardinals offense has also dealt with key injuries this season. Arizona is as healthy as they’ve been heading into this game, with Kyle Murray and James Conner back in the lineup. A big key for us in backing the Rams is how well Matthew Stafford has performed when defenses are unable to generate pressure on him. His passer rating with a clean pocket is well above the league average. Arizona’s defense has generated a decent amount of sacks this season. However, when you dig deeper into their pass rush metrics, they rank bottom 3 in the league in QB pressure percentage (17.6%). In terms of the coaching in this matchup, we prefer to put our money behind the coach with a Super Bowl ring (Sean McVay), rather than the rookie head coach (Jonathan Gannon). Our wager is 1 unit on the Rams -2.5.

Jaguars @ Texans 1:00pm
Jaguars -1 (-110)
This game is just about a true pick 'em. The Jaguars were -7.5 favorites at home back in week 3, and now just 1 point favorites in Houston. A lot has changed for both of these teams since the week 3 matchup. CJ Stroud has emerged as one of the top QBs in the league, and the Texans have gone 6-2 since that game. The Jags have also gone 6-2 since that game. Jacksonville had a strong bounce back performance against the Titans last week, after being blown out by the 49ers the week prior. In a big divisional game like this, we lean on the experience edge of Jags coach Doug Pederson, and their QB Trevor Lawerence. Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans and QB CJ Strouds are still rookies in their prospective roles. The Jags look to be just a slight step ahead as a team. For that reason, Jaguars -1 is our wager. Our stake is a half unit.
