Monday Night Football Best Bet 11/14/2022
Commanders @ Eagles 8:20pm
Commanders +11.5 (-107)
The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the most complete and well rounded teams in the NFL. Offensively, the Eagles have a fantastic O-line, and a strong rushing attack behind Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders. In terms of the passing offense, Jalen Hurts has taken huge steps forward with the addition of AJ Brown, and the emergence of DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. On the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles are elite in pass coverage and pass rush. The one area where they have struggled a bit has been defending the run. The Commanders rank in the middle of the pack rushing the football, so that will be an interesting matchup to keep an eye on. The reason we are backing the Commanders here is due to their defense. Our numbers have the Commanders defense ranked top 10 in the NFL. These Ron Rivera coached teams always tackle well and play sound defense. This Commanders unit does exactly that. In a primetime divisional game, with a relatively low total (43), 11.5 points is too many to pass up. The Commanders are 3-2 straight up in their last 5 games. Their two losses which were against two very good teams (Titans & Vikings), were by 3 and 4 points. It's going to be a cold night in Philly, we are approaching the time of year where strong defenses begin to play a bigger factor. Our bet is a half unit only.
