Best Bets For The Open Championship
Rory McIlroy To Win (+1000)
We hate to back the favorite here, but there's too much to like about Rory heading into this tournament not to take some stake in him. Let's start with his performances in the previous 3 majors this season. He finished 2nd at the Masters, 8th in the PGA Championship, and tied for 5th at the US Open. In addition to that, he won the Canadian Open. Rory is 2nd on tour in strokes gained tee to green, 8th in strokes gained putting, and 1st in strokes gained total. He's having a fantastic year, but he needs to break that 8 year major drought in order to complete it. We are going with a quarter unit wager at the current price. If you like this bet, we found the best number at BetMGM.

Seamus Power To Win (+6600)
This bet is a bit of a flyer. However, if you're looking for a player who is on the verge of getting his first win of the season, Seamus Power is worth considering. He has 3 top 5 finishes this season, and 13 top 25 finishes. He's coming into this tournament in good form, finishing top 25 in 4 of his last 5 events. Seamus Power did pick up a win on tour last year at the Barbasol Championship. Let's see if he can play his way into his 2nd career win at the Open Championship.

Scottie Scheffler To Win (+2000)
This number has fallen to a point at BetMGM that we cannot pass up. Please note, FanDuel currently has this line at (+1600), DraftKings has it at (+1400), so be sure to head to BetMGM for a significantly better number on Scheffler. No elaborate write up needed here, this is a best in market price on the #1 player on tour. Our bet is a quarter unit on Scheffler to win.

Matthew Fitzpatrick To Finish Top 10 (+220)
For many of the same reasons we picked Matthew Fitzpatrick to win the US Open, we are picking him again here. If you look beyond the names and purely into the data, Fitzpatrick is top notch at nearly everything. He has the 2nd lowest scoring average, only trailing Rory McIlroy. He's 3rd in strokes gained tee to green, 2nd in strokes gained total, but he's also one of the best scramblers on tour. Scrambling should be a key metric at the Open Championship. He has 9 top 10 finishes this season (tied for 1st on tour). We like a half unit bet on Fitzpatrick to keep it rolling and finish in the top 10.

Jon Rahm To Finish Top 10 (+200)
Jon Rahm's driving distance should give him an edge this week, and he plays very well on links-style courses. Rahm has 6 top 10 finishes this season, and also has a great track record on coastal courses. This is a best in market price over at FanDuel, so we recommend heading there for the best price on a Rahm top 10 finish.

Louis Oosthuizen To Finish Top 20 (+220)
Oosthuizen has a strong track record with a win back in 2010, a playoff loss in 2015, and he tied for 3rd last year at Royal St George's. He's been playing well in the LIV Golf tournaments and DP World Tour, and while many will be rooting against him for joining the LIV, the odds here are appealing enough for us to jump in for a half unit.
