Cardinals @ Reds 1:40pm
Cardinals Moneyline (-150)
Here we are going to back the Cardinals behind Miles Mikolas. He's pitched very well in back to back starts, and he just shut down the Reds in his last start prior to the All Star break. For the Reds, their starter Tyler Mahle is having a really tough season. He's a talented young pitcher, but the Reds simply aren't winning games behind him. The Cardinals have a significant edge with their bullpen. The Reds bullpen is the worst in the league. The Cardinals also have an edge offensively. We will roll with a one unit bet on the Cardinals moneyline.
Marlins @ Pirates 1:35pm
Marlins Moneyline (-170)
We see a nice edge here for the Marlins in this starting pitching matchup between Sandy Alcantara and Mitch Keller. Sandy Alcantara has looked the part of a potential Cy Young winner, he's been fantastic all season. In addition to the edge in the starting pitching matchup, the Pirates have one of the worst bullpens in the MLB. The Marlins bullpen isn't great either, but Alcantara typically pitches deep into games which limits the Marlins bullpen exposure. We will lay the juice behind Sandy Alcantara in this matchup. Our bet is one unit on the Marlins.
Guardians @ White Sox 2:10pm
Guardians Moneyline (+115)
Guardians starting pitcher Shane Bieber has been a bit up and down this season. However, he threw a 9 inning gem against the White Sox in his last start. The White Sox were struggling mightily to hit Bieber, and now they will face him again today. The Guardians are 11-6 in the games Shane Bieber has started this season. Betting the White Sox at home has been one of the least profitable spots in baseball. They have a losing record at home, and as a home favorite. Dylan Cease is having a career best season and is coming off of a very good start as well. Our numbers suggest this is a 50-50 game, so we will gladly take the plus money on the Guardians.
Giants @ Dodgers 4:10pm
Giants Moneyline (+190)
We are going to take a flyer here behind Alex Cobb. He's given up 6 hits or less in his last 7 starts, and he's coming off of season best performance against the Brewers. While Clayton Kershaw is certainly a great pitcher, betting on him has not been profitable this season. At this (+190) price, we will back the road divisional dogs on the moneyline for a half unit.
