Mets vs. Padres 8:07pm
Mets Moneyline (-150)
Before you bet on the Mets blindly here, it's important to note that Padres starting pitcher Yu Darvish had very good numbers against the Mets this season. He went 2-0 against them in the regular season, and allowed just 1 earned run in 14 innings. This being said, in a big postseason game, we like the side of Max Scherzer. In terms of postseason success, Scherzer is far more accomplished than Yu Darvish. The Mets have a slightly better bullpen and will play this game at home where they went 54-27 this season. Our bet is on the Mets moneyline.
Phillies @ Cardinals 2:07pm
Phillies Moneyline (-105)
Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler has been dominant against the Cardinals this season. In two starts against them Wheeler is 2-0, and he's thrown 14 shutout innings. Cardinals starter Jose Quintana has been very good since joining the team. However, the Phillies offense hits left handed pitching very well. This is a favorable matchup today for the road team. Our bet is a half unit on the Phillies moneyline.
Blue Jays vs. Mariners 4:07pm
Blue Jays Moneyline (-125)
This price has fallen to a point where we are inclined to make a small wager on the Blue Jays. Mariners starter Luis Castillo has been worse on the road, and he lost his only game against the Blue Jays this season. Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah has been phenomenal over the last 2 months. He's 4-0 with an ERA of 0.88 in 6 starts throughout September/October. This may be the only game of the series where the Blue Jays have an edge in the starting pitching matchup. We will roll with a half unit bet on the Blue Jays.
