Here we will gladly take the plus money behind Adam Wainwright. The 40 year old has a 1.79 ERA at home this season, and he's coming off back to back great starts. Frankie Montas will make his first start for the Yankees today, but he has really struggled on the road this season. His ERA was north of 5 away from Oakland. The Yankees are 2-9 in their last 11 road games. We will roll with a half unit bet on the home dogs. 

We like the value on the Braves as road dogs despite being up against Jacob deGrom. The Mets lost to the Nationals in deGrom's first start of the season on Tuesday, but deGrom looked sharp. He allowed just 3 hits in 5 innings, and 1 earned run. This bet is in no way a fade on deGrom, we expect him to pitch well. It's more of a matter of seeing too much value on Spencer Strider and this elite Braves bullpen to pass up. Strider is coming off of a 13 strikeout performance, he has been fantastic for the Braves since becoming a full time starter in June. Win or lose, we can live with taking a flyer at this price. Our bet is a half unit on the road dogs.

Our numbers suggest this game should be closer to a true pick em, so we will opt for the (+115) price on the divisional dogs. Dodgers starter Tyler Anderson has been fantastic this season. However, he got hit pretty hard by the Giants in his last start. Tyler Anderson's numbers this season are so far off from his career numbers, that you have to wonder if some regression is around the corner. Padres starter Yu Darvish has been pitching well. He's 1-1 against the Dodgers this season. We will take a half unit flyer on this talented Padres team to win.
