Be sure to get in front of a TV for this main event! There is a lot to like about both of these fighters. Calvin Kattar is the more experienced fighter. Kattar has been in 4 straight 5 round fights, all of which have gone the distance. His last 3 fights have been against elite fighters in this division (Holloway, Chikadze, Emmett). Arnold Allen has not been in a 5 round fight yet, this will be his first 5 round main event. That being said, Arnold Allen looks to be a special prospect in this featherweight division. He's 9-0 in the UFC. In his last fight against Dan Hooker, Arnold Allen looked to have taken his striking to the next level. Allen should also have an edge in terms of grappling/wrestling if he decides to mix things up. Calvin Kattar has taken a lot of damage in recent fights. You have to wonder if that wear and tear will start to catch up with him. Our bet is one unit on Arnold Allen to get his hand raised.

It makes us a bit nervous laying this much juice on a fighter making their UFC debut. However, this looks to be a favorable matchup for Acosta. Some may remember Acosta from that crazy Contender Series card back in August. He scored a 1st round finish on that card, and was awarded a UFC contract by Dana White. Jared Vanderaa will have a big experience advantage here with 6 UFC fights under his belt. Vanderaa has faced much tougher opponents, but he hasn't found many wins with that experience. Vanderaa has lost 4 straight, and he's 1-5 in the UFC. We expect to see the best version of Jared Vanderaa considering a 5 fight losing streak could put his standing with the UFC in jeopardy. Regardless, our money is on Acosta to win this fight. One unit is our wager.
