Buccaneers vs. Ravens 8:15pm
Buccaneers -2 (-107)
Over the last 24 hours the Buccaneers have flipped from +1.5 point underdogs, to -2 favorites. We missed a little value by betting this game late, but we still like this spot for the Bucs. The Buccaneers have not covered a spread in 5 weeks, and they've lost 4 of their last 5 games. It's interesting to note that the lookahead line on this game (prior to the Bucs losing to the Panthers) was Buccaneers -3.5. It's safe to say the betting market reacted to the Bucs ugly loss. However, as we approach kickoff, this line has inched closer back to where it originally opened. Both teams are bringing injuries into this game. On the defensive side of the ball, the Ravens will be without Calais Campbell, Marcus Williams, and Michael Pierce. Both starting corners (Humphrey & Peters) are questionable. On offense, the Ravens have 3 key questionable players (Mark Andrews, Ronnie Stanley, Rashod Bateman). Mark Andrews and Bateman are optimistic about playing tonight, although there have been reports about Andrews potentially missing this game. The Bucs will be without one of their starting safeties (Winfield Jr.). Either way, we are on the Tampa side in this matchup. The Ravens run defense has been a big liability without Calais Campbell and Michael Pierce. When you add in this team missing their starting safety (Marcus Williams) and potentially 1 or 2 starting corners as well, this defensive unit starts to look very thin. We will roll with Tom Brady and the Bucs to get the job done tonight and cover. Our bet is one unit.
