Three Must Have Running Backs In Fantasy Football This Season
1) Breece Hall (Jets) - Prior to suffering a season ending ACL injury, Breece Hall had taken the NFL by storm. The rookie had 681 total yards and 5 touchdowns in just 6.5 games. All reports suggest Hall will be back on the field and ready to go for training camp. With an improved QB situation in Aaron Rodgers, and an upgraded offensive line and wide receiver core, the sky's the limit for Breece Hall in year two.

2) Khalil Herbert (Bears) - The Bears let David Montgomery take his talents to Detroit. Chicago brought in D’Onta Foreman and Travis Homer to help fill that loss, but our attention is centered around 2nd year RB Khalil Herbert. In his rookie season, Herbert averaged 5.7 yards per carry on 129 touches. D’Onta Foreman looks to be the front runner for the short yardage and goal line carries. Travis Homer should get some receiving opportunities on 3rd down and passing situations. However, Khalil Herbert looks positioned to be the primary back in an offense that is expected to take major strides forward this season. The Bears upgraded their offensive line, and brought in an elite wide receiver (DJ Moore). Justin Fields had a full offseason to improve, and his threat as a rusher could open up some big holes for the Bears RBs through the read option. In a perfect situation, grab both Herbert and Foreman in your draft.

3) Rachaad White (Buccaneers) - Last season, Leonard Fournette fantasy owners slowly watched Rachaad White become the lead back in Tampa. White is an explosive running back who poses a threat as a runner and a pass catcher. In the back half of the 2022 season, there were 4 running backs that averaged over 11 carries and 3 catches per game. Those players were Christian McCaffrey, Austin Eckler, James Connor, and Rachaad White. The 2nd year back has little competition for the feature role in this backfield with Chase Edmonds, Ke’Shawn Vaughn and Patrick Laird. The QB situation in Tampa is slightly concerning, but there are a lot of receiving threats on this team, which should limit opposing defenses being able to stack the box. Rachaad White could be one of the breakout stars of the upcoming fantasy season.
