Texas +3 (-110)
It’s interesting to note, this is the third time this season that Texas has been in a back to back road spot. They split both of their first two B2B road trips, and will need a win tonight to split this one. Texas has not lost back to back games all season, and coming off of a loss to Baylor, that streak is in jeopardy tonight. While this is technically a two game road trip, the Longhorns have not had to leave the state of Texas. TCU is coming off of a big road win against Texas Tech. KenPom suggests that TCU has the 3rd most significant home court advantage in the nation (valued at +4.3 points). The odd part about TCU’s home court advantage is that most of the other teams ranked at the top of the list either play in high elevation, or have a large arena. TCU has neither of those. The Schollmaier Arena is small (6,800 capacity), and elevation is not a factor. It gets extremely loud in there, and we suppose that is where the advantage kicks in. All of that said, this Texas group has won in hostile environments. Texas won in Morgantown West Virginia (2nd highest ranked home court edge), and the Longhorns also won on the road in Oklahoma and Kansas State. Three points is too many for us to pass up here. If you like Texas, head to BetRivers, as most of the market sits at +2.5. Our wager is one unit on the road dogs.
