SteadyPicks Best Bets For UFC Vegas 75
Marvin Vettori vs. Jared Cannonier
Marvin Vettori Moneyline (-118)
We have a 10 year age gap in this bout. 29 year old Marvin Vettori will take on 39 year old Jared Cannonier. Vettori is known for his iron chin, high pace, and world class cardio. Cannonier is a powerful striker with 15 UFC fights on his resume. Since moving down to Middleweight, Cannonier has only lost to current champion Israel Adesanya and #1 contender Robert Whittaker. In terms of the striking metrics, Vettori averages the higher volume, but Cannonier looks to hold the bigger power. Marvin Vettori has the better grappling metrics. It's worth noting that Jared Cannonier's takedown defense isn't great (64%). Vettori averages about 2 takedowns per 15 minutes, and is very good at keeping his opponents down. We are going to side with the younger fighter, who looks to have more paths to a victory.

Pat Sabatini vs. Lucas Almeida
Pat Sabatini Moneyline (-190)
This looks to be a striker versus grappler matchup. Lucas Almeida has a decent height advantage over Pat Sabatini. However, the reach advantage is minimal for Almeida, and Sabatini looks to have a much wider frame. Lucas Almeida is coming off of an impressive knockout win against Michael Trizano. This is his first fight of 2023. Pat Sabatini is coming off of a tough loss against Damon Jackson, but he’s had a lot of success in the UFC. Sabatini has a 4-1 overall record since joining the promotion. For us, this bet comes down to the grappling advantage that we believe Pat Sabatini will have in this matchup. Pat averages almost 4 takedowns per 15 minutes, and has 10 submissions on his resume throughout his pro career. Lucas Almeida has 50% takedown defense. If Almeida can’t land the big shot, his paths to victory become dim. Sabatini got caught in a bad spot against Damon Jackson, but outside of that fight his striking defense has been very good. Our wager is 1 unit on Pat Sabatini to win this fight by any method.

Ronnie Lawerence vs. Dan Argueta
Ronnie Lawerence Moneyline (-190)
Ronnie Lawerence is coming off of a tough loss in his last fight against a very talented opponent (Saidyokub Kakhramonov). He didn’t look good in that fight, but Lawerence has had almost a year since then to make some improvements. Ronnie Lawerence had a lot of hype heading into that Kakhramonov fight, he was actually a betting favorite in that matchup. Lawerence tore up the regional scene, and won his first 3 fights in the UFC (including his Contender Series fight). His only loss outside of Kakharamonov was to Steve Garcia in Bellator back in 2016. Ronnie Lawrence is a dangerous striker and a very good grappler. He averages 7 takedowns per 15 minutes, and secures his takedowns at almost an 80% clip. Dan Argueta is known to be a good wrestler, he averages 2.5 takedowns per 15 minutes. Some may remember Argueta from the Ultimate Fighter, where he lost to Ricky Turcios in 2021. Dan Argueta went to LFA for a year after the Ultimate Fighter, and then got the call from the UFC. He's 1-1 so far it 2 UFC bouts. We are going to side with the fighter who we believe is a bit better in every department. Ronnie Lawerence has never been finished in his amateur or professional MMA career. We like his chances to either win on the scorecards, or to find a finish. Keep an eye out for Lawrence's sneaky body kicks. This was one of his biggest weapons prior to joining the UFC. The juice is tough to stomach, but we believe this fight is priced correctly. Our wager is 1 unit on Ronnie Lawerence to win.
