Lions -1.5 (-110)
We are going to side with the Lions tonight in this divisional matchup. It’s no secret that Jared Goff has performed better at home in Detroit than he has on the road over the last few seasons. Goff played great on the road in week 1 at Arrowhead against the Chiefs. He also went into Lambeau Field last season and knocked Aaron Rodgers and the Packers out of playoff contention. Lambeau Field is one of the better home field advantages in the NFL, but that advantage typically kicks in as the season progresses, and the winter arrives. The weather will not be a factor in this game tonight. Packers QB Jordan Love has been impressive for the most part through 3 weeks. Love has good metrics with a clean pocket, but he has a 42.2 passer rating under pressure. Jared Goff on the other hand has a 91.7 passer rating under pressure. Jordan Love completed just 50% of his passes last week. He struggled mightily for the first 3 quarters of the game. However, Love did get it going when it mattered most and pulled out the win. The Packers will be without their left tackle David Bakhtiari, and their left guard Elgton Jenkins. Their starting right tackle Zach Tom is questionable. The Lions have some injuries on their offensive line as well, but still have two All Pro players on their offensive line. In what should be a competitive divisional game, we will side with the team who feel is just a slight step ahead. Lions -1.5 is our wager. Our stake is a half unit.
