Eagles -5 (-109)
This matchup features two undefeated teams. The Eagles two wins this season have come on the road against the Patriots, and at home against the Vikings (last Thursday Night). Philly had an extra 3 days of rest this week to prepare, get healthy, and get ready for this primetime game. The Buccaneers beat the Vikings and Bears in their two games this season. Those teams currently have a combined 0-4 record this season. The Buccaneers were in a highly competitive game against the Bears at home in Tampa last week. That game finished with a final score of 27-17, but the game was much more competitive than the final score reflects. Baker Mayfield’s passing metrics are at a career best mark right now. We are eager to see how Baker fares against this Eagles defense. Philadelphia will be without Avonte Maddox and Nakobe Dean, but the rest of their defense is intact. The Eagles offense has their full offensive line healthy, and all of their skill players minus Quez Watkins and Boston Scott (who are backups). It’s worth noting that the Eagles held a big lead over the Patriots and VIkings, but both games ended within a touchdown. If the Eagles pull ahead tonight, we expect coach Nick Sirianni to emphasize a strong 4th quarter and to keep his foot on the gas. We will lay the 5 points with the Eagles. Our stake is a half unit.
