Over 44.5 Total Points (-110)
This Bears team hasn’t won a game in almost a year. Chicago blew a 28-7 lead last week. Their defense is extremely banged up heading into this game tonight. The Bears will be without their two top corners, and a starting safety. Their other starting safety (Jaquan Brisker) is listed as questionable. Commanders starting QB Sam Howell threw for 290 yards and 0 interceptions last week on the road against the Eagles. We expect him to have more success at home tonight against an extremely thin Bears secondary. Washington has a talented wide receiver trio with Mclauren, Dotson, and Samuel. These receivers should be able to find a lot of open space tonight. It’s worth noting that Bears QB Justin Fields was playing fantastic last week through the first 3 quarters of the game. Fields had a perfect passer rating, and hit career highs in passing yards, completions, completion percentage, and passer rating. The Bears offense looked much more comfortable in week 4. The Commanders defense ranks right in the middle of the pack. They have talented pass rushers in Chase Young and Montez Sweat, but their secondary has a lot of question marks. Rather than picking a side here, we are going to look at the total. The Bears have gone over in all 4 of their games this season. The Commanders have allowed 30+ points in 3 consecutive games. We expect both offenses to be able to score some points. Primetime under’s have been a profitable spot this season. Regardless of that trend, we are going to roll with the over in this one tonight. Our wager is a half unit.
