Phillies Moneyline (+110)
We are fading last year’s NL Cy Young award winner Sandy Alcantara. There is no denying how talented Alcantara is. He's coming off of a complete game 3 hit shutout, and looks to have picked up right where he left off from last season. That being said, we can’t ignore that he went 1-3 against the Phillies last season (3.16 ERA in 42.2 innings). Sandy Alcantara threw more innings against the Phillies than he did against any other team. The Phillies offense is very familiar with him, and are the only team Alcantara had a losing record against last season. Phillies starter Matt Strahm will likely only throw a few innings tonight. He will pass it over to a Phillies bullpen that had high hopes going into the season. It’s worth noting, Strahm has only allowed 1 hit in 5 innings this season (against Rangers & Yankees). In addition, the Marlins have struggled against lefties, and Strahm happens to be a lefty. We will take the home divisional dogs in this matchup. Our wager is a half unit.
