This week, we asked our awesome UFC intern (Ollie) to research the UFC card and select one matchup that he felt presented the most value from a betting perspective.

 

Here is what Ollie whipped up below...

 

This weekend we see a great stylistic matchup between Ryan Benoit (-130) and Zarrukh Adashev (+110). Not only will this fight be fireworks to watch, but there’s value all over in the form of Benoit.

 

After studying these two fighters, I believe this fight will be one sided in the favour of Benoit and his continuous pressure. We’ve previously seen this to be a great struggle for Zarrukh against former opponents such as Su Mudaerji. 

 

In terms of their records, Benoits is undoubtedly more impressive. Despite coming off two (debatable) losses, Benoit still holds a decent record, including a split decision loss to the current flyweight champion Brandon Moreno in which he did achieve a knockdown! 

 

It's this intense level of pressure and strength which I believe will overwhelm Adashev until he slips up. The only concern in this bout is the weight cut. We have seen Benoit get carried off the scales back in May leading to his fight being cancelled and credibility tarnished. This being said he’s stated on Instagram he’s in good health, feeling great and ready to fight, which is why I’m picking Ryan Benoit to win.
