Titans vs. Colts 1:00pm
Titans -2.5 (-107)
We like this spot for the Titans today. They are coming off of a bye week, and already beat this Colts team (24-17) in Indianapolis. Defensively, the Titans are ranked top 5 in the NFL in run defense and pass rush. Matt Ryan has struggled this season when teams get pressure on him. Colts star RB Jonathan Taylor is expected to be back. However, in week 4 the Titans held Taylor to 42 rushing yards on 20 carries (averaged 2.1 yards per carry). Titans coach Mike Vrabel has been phenomenal throughout his coaching career when he's given more than 8 days of preparation. Today's game fits that bill. Our bet is one unit on the Titans to cover the number.
Jaguars vs. Giants 1:00pm
Jaguars -2.5 (-125)
At SteadyPicks, we rarely recommend buying points. This is one of the few scenarios where we believe it makes sense to do so. Be sure to head to BetMGM if you like this pick, as FanDuel has this same -2.5 juiced up at (-150). The Giants strength is their running game behind Saquan Barkley. The Jaguars are top 5 in the NFL against the run, so Barkley may have his hands full today. The Giants defense has poor numbers against the run and in pass coverage. The Jaguars run offense and passing game has been good this season, and the emergence of Travis Etienne will only help. We bought a half point over at BetMGM to move this spread through the key number of 3. Our bet is one unit on the Jags.
49ers vs. Chiefs 4:25pm
49ers +1.5 (-110)
This is one of those games where we just can't ignore all the sharp signals pointing to the 49ers. The Chiefs will likely be the most public bet team of the day, yet this line continues to move toward San Francisco. This line moved through the key number of 3, making these signals even stronger. It's a bit dangerous to jump in now after the number has already moved, but we will see some value here. Our numbers suggest this game should be a true pick em. The 49ers will get back several key players, including star left tackle Trent Williams. Nick Bosa is also expected to play, so this elite 49ers defense will have most of their key guys out there. This defense has also performed significantly better at home. The 49ers offense got a new weapon in Christian McCaffrey this week. It remains to be seen how much McCaffrey will play, but it's just another weapon at coach Kyle Shanahan's disposal. Give us the dogs here, our bet is one unit.
Ravens vs. Browns 1:00pm
Ravens -6.5 (-105)
No lead looks to be safe with this Ravens team. This team could be 6-0 if it weren't for the late game woes. The Browns will be missing a couple key players today on both sides of the ball. The Ravens have been a little vulnerable against the run this season, so it does concern us a bit that Nick Chubb could have a big game. However, the Ravens secondary is much healthier than they were earlier this season. If the Ravens offense can get out to a lead and take the Browns out of their run first game plan, this should be a favorable matchup for the Ravens. Given the blown leads, we expect the Ravens to put extra emphasis on keeping their foot on the gas. There is a lot of public money behind the Ravens today but we do feel it is the right side. Our bet is a half unit only in this divisional matchup.
Raiders vs. Texans 4:05pm
Raiders -6.5 (-115)
It's tough to lay 6.5 or 7 points with a 1-4 team. However, there is a lot to like about this Raiders team, specifically how effectively they run the football. The Raiders are top 3 in the NFL in rushing offense behind Josh Jacobs and a very good offensive line. This team went into Kansas City prior to their bye week and ran all over the Chiefs nearly upsetting them (30-29). This is bad news for the Texans who rank 2nd to last in the NFL in run defense. The Raiders offense has scored 30 points in back to back games. Our bet is a half unit on the Raiders to win this game by north of a touchdown.
