We are going to take the 0-3 home underdogs in this matchup. The Grizzlies are dealing with a lot of injuries (and a key suspension) right now. Despite that, they played both of their home opponents tough (Nuggets and Pelicans). The Grizzlies went 35-6 during the regular season in Memphis last season. Ja Morant missed a good chunk of those games, and the Grizzlies played winning basketball without him. The Mavericks were awful on the road last season (15-26), which was a big part of why they missed the postseason. Luke Doncic is currently shooting 58% from the field through two games. Throughout his career, Luka has consistently averaged scoring between 42-49% from the field. We expect to see some scoring regression from the Mavs star in the coming games. For the sake of our bet, we will hope this regression comes tonight against a very defensively sound Grizzlies team. Memphis +2.5 is our wager.

The Lakers are expected to have their key players available tonight (LeBron James & Anthony Davis). The 2-0 Orlando Magic are a team that many NBA fans expected to take another step forward this season. However, the Magic are still a very young group. They went 14-27 on the road last season. The Lakers two losses this season have been on the road in Denver, and on the road in Sacramento. This looks to be a nice spot to get back in the win column behind the LA crowd.
