Tonight we are backing the Brooklyn Nets on the road against the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are not very good on either side of the floor. They rank 25th on defense, and 26th on offense. Utah’s opponents have averaged shooting 37.5% from three point range this season. We expect the Nets shooters to get a lot of good opportunities from three point range tonight. Utah’s offense has struggled in the turnover department. The Jazz average about 3 more turnovers a game than Brooklyn. Their opponents average 20.8 points a game off of those giveaways. The only aspect of this game where we see a slight advantage for Utah is offensive rebounding, The Jazz lead the league in 2nd chance points, averaging 17 per game. However, against a Brooklyn team who ranks top 10 in rebound rate, the offensive glass won’t be an easy battle for Utah tonight. In terms of injuries, these two teams are on about even footing. Lauri Markkanen is available for the Jazz, with Jordan Clarkson still being sidelined. Cam Thomas has recently returned to the court for the Nets, while Ben Simmons is still back out with injury. Utah can be a tough place to play, but our wager is on the better overall team to win this game by north of 3.5 points.
