Nazim Sadykhov vs. Evan Elder
Nazim Sadykhov Moneyline (-190)
Nazim Sadykhov will make his UFC debut against Evan Elder, who has one career UFC fight under his belt (loss via decision). We have two concerns here with Elder, which pushed our bet over to the Nazim side. First, Evan Elder has a reputation for being tough as nails, but he takes a lot of damage in his fights. He absorbs 5+ significant strikes per minute, and only lands about 1.8 significant strikes per minute. Nazim is a talented kickboxer, and he averages at least one knockdown per fight. This seems like a bad recipe here for a fighter like Elder who gets hit a lot. Our second concern with Evan Elder is his ability to finish fights after the first round. All of his finishes other than one have come in round one. Elder has gone to decisions a fair amount throughout his pro and amateur career. He hasn’t been able to put away some of these lower tier fighters, which is a bit concerning. Nazim Sadykhov has never been knocked out, his only loss came 5 years ago in his pro debut via a rear naked choke. Outside of that, Nazim has finished his opponent in 6 of his 7 wins. The other win was by unanimous decision. We will roll with a one unit bet on the favorite to win this fight.
