Cardinals vs. 49ers 8:20pm
Cardinals +10 (-107)
The NFL will head to Mexico City for this Monday Night Football matchup. Only 4 games in NFL history have been played in Mexico (2005, 2016, 2017, 2019). Needless to say, the sample size is very small. In the most recent game back in 2019, Patrick Mahomes took on Phillip Rivers with the Chiefs defeating the Chargers 24-17. If there was one key takeaway from that game, both quarterbacks struggled. Patrick Mahomes failed to pass for 200 yards (1 TD, 1 Interception), and Phillip Rivers threw 4 interceptions. Both QB's had a quarterback rating below 65. The elevation in Mexico City may also play a big factor tonight. To give you an idea, Mexico City sits at roughly 7,200 feet above sea level. Denver (which is the highest altitude amongst active NFL stadiums) sits at roughly 5,200 feet. With so much unknown, we are going to opt for just a small play tonight. Colt McCoy is expected to be under center for the Cardinals. McCoy is a veteran backup with plenty of NFL experience. He played very well last week in a win against the Rams. According to PFF, Colt McCoy had 0 turnover worthy throws in 37 pass attempts against the Rams. Cardinals wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins, Hollywood Brown, and Rondale Moore are expected to be in the lineup together tonight for the first time all season. On a neutral site, and in a key divisional game for both teams, we are comfortable taking the 10 points with the dogs. Our bet is a half unit.
