It’s been a roller coaster year for Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. After failing to find common ground last offseason, and continuing to do so this offseason, Lamar Jackson has officially requested a trade from the Ravens.
In this article we will take a look at the current odds for Lamar’s next team. Please note, these markets are only available in a few states including Colorado, Illinois, and Maryland. If Lamar Jackson were to remain on the Ravens, any bets in this market would be voided.
Current Odds via PointsBet:

Buccaneers (+800)
Jets (+900)
Commanders (+1000)
Titans (+1000)
Dolphins (+1000)
Panthers (+1000)
49ers (+1500)
Which teams make the most sense?
In terms of the need for a franchise QB, you could make an argument that all of the teams on this list could use Lamar Jackson. However, we see a few teams worth ruling out. The Patriots are the most surprising team on this list. Mac Jones had a down year in 2022, but the Patriots invested a high pick into him, and he had a fantastic rookie season. We see no reason why the Patriots would pull the plug on the Mac Jones era just yet. The Jets look to be set on landing Aaron Rodgers, and have reportedly had little interest in Lamar Jackson. The Dolphins sound optimistic about Tua after picking up his 5th year option, and the Panthers made a trade for the #1 overall pick to land their franchise QB.
Which teams are realistic?
While the thought of Lamar Jackson playing in Kyle Shanahan's offense for the 49ers seems to be a match made in heaven, this team simply cannot afford him. The cap situation is unrealistic at this moment, and it doesn’t sound like the 49ers are ready to give up on the former 3rd overall pick in the 2021 draft in Trey Lance. The 49ers also have a capable backup in Brock Purdy, seeing Lamar Jackson in a Niners uniform is highly unlikely. Four teams to consider that seem to make the most sense are the Colts, Falcons, Titans, and Commanders. Each of these 4 teams have serious questions at the QB position, but they also all have a lot of talent outside of the QB position.
Which bets are worth making?
We would opt to make two bets in this market. The first would be on the Atlanta Falcons at (+600). In the small sample size from Desmond Ridder last season, there wasn’t much to be excited about. The Falcons have been linked to have strong interest in Anthony Richardson throughout the draft process, who has a similar skill set to Lamar Jackson. If the Falcons could land Lamar at a reasonable price, it would allow this team to skip the rebuilding process, and compete right away. Our second bet would be on the Washington Commanders at (+1000). This organization will likely be under new ownership by next season, and how sold could this team really be on Sam Howell? Washington has a fantastic defensive line, and a lot of playmakers at the wide receiver position. Plug in Lamar Jackson, and this team could be dangerous.
