There’s nothing like betting a late night Hawaii game. Georgia Tech got an early Christmas gift getting the opportunity to spend some of the Holiday season in Honolulu. Hawaii is 8-2 this season, and they grade out better than Georgia Tech in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency. These teams both played yesterday, and both won. Our concern with Georgia Tech outside of the travel and time zone adjustments is their offense. They don’t shoot well (29% as a team from three point range). Georgia Tech’s offense has an effective field goal percentage outside of the top 275 in the nation (46.8%). Hawaii’s offense ranks 37th nationally in effective field goal percentage (54.9%), and they do shoot well (36.7% from three point range). Hawaii is an experienced team that starts 5 seniors. With a home court advantage, and better metrics, we feel comfortable laying the -2 points behind Hawaii.
