5 Waste Management Phoenix Open Bets To Consider

Jon Rahm To Win (+750)

After a scorching hot start to the year, Jon Rahm struggled a bit in the Farmers Insurance Open. He tied for 7th place, but had two rounds over par. Rahm already has two wins this year (American Express & Sentry Tournament of Champions), and he has yet to finish outside of the top 10 in any events he's played this season. It’s worth noting, Jon Rahm played his college golf at Arizona State University, which is right down the road from this tournament. Rahm has never won here, and he’s only cracked the top 5 once. That said, this is an event Jon Rahm would love to win. He’s publicly expressed how much a win here would mean. With how well Rahm is playing, we’d feel foolish not to buy a little stock in him.

Patrick Cantlay To Win (+2000)

Last year at this event, Patrick Cantlay lost in a playoff to Scottie Scheffler. He played phenomenal, and seemed to thrive in the wild atmosphere. Patrick Cantlay leads the entire PGA Tour in birdie average, and ranks 2nd in greens in regulation percentage (only trailing Jon Rahm). His strokes gained putting ranks 18th, which is well above the field average. Patrick Cantlay has all of the tools needed to be in the hunt on Sunday. At 20-1 odds, we are inclined to jump in with a half unit wager.

Keith Mitchell To Win (+7000)

Keith Mitchell tied for 10th at this event last year, and shot in the 60’s every single round. He carries very strong momentum into this week, with a 4th place finish last weekend at Pebble Beach. Mitchell also finished 22nd a couple weeks prior at the American Express. At these 70-1 odds, we see good value here.

Corey Conners To Win (+8000)

Corey Conners has played well over the last few years, but he has yet to make a big splash with a notable win. He does have one win on tour, but it was back in 2019 at the Valero Texas Open. Conners has a very good track record at this course, he’s never missed a cut here. He had two very good rounds last year (66,69), but finished 38th due to a couple of poor rounds (72,72). Conners ranks inside the top 20 in strokes gained tee to green, and inside the top 10 in greens in regulation percentage. We will take a small flyer on Conners to win.

J.T. Poston To Win (+9000)

Our biggest longshot of the weekend is J.T. Poston. He finished inside the top 25 in back to back years at this event (23rd & 11th). Poston has a top 10 finish already this year. He is very accurate with his driver, and ranks 13th on tour in greens in regulation percentage. J.T. Poston is a solid putter as well, he ranks within the top 50 on tour in putting inside of 10 feet. If you're looking for a longshot to bet, J.T. Poston is certainly worth considering.
