Phillies vs. Blue Jays 6:45pm
Phillies Moneyline (-110)
The Phillies have lost 5 straight games, yet they still find themselves with 2.5 games of breathing room in the NL wild card race. Tonight Zack Wheeler returns to pitch for the first time in about a month. Wheeler was pitching fantastic from May until about mid August. However, he didn't look right in his final 2 starts prior to heading to the IL, so it will be interesting to see if Wheeler is back in form tonight. Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman has not been pitching well recently. Gausman has given up 7 home runs in his last 4 starts, and his hard hit rate is way up! The Blue Jays are 5-1 in his last 6 starts, but a large portion of that is because of run support. The Blue Jays offense does a great job of covering up for their struggling starting pitchers. We like a half unit bet at this (-110) price on the home team.
Guardians @ White Sox 8:05pm
Guardians Moneyline (+123)
Here we will take a half unit flyer on an underdog that we believe smells blood in the water tonight! The Guardians beat White Sox ace Dylan Cease last night, and they now have a 5 game lead over the White Sox in the AL Central division. The Guardians will start Triston McKenzie tonight, who has been a major bright spot for the Guardians this season. The Guardians have won all 3 of Triston McKenzie's starts in September, and he's coming off of back to back strong outings against the Twins (who he struggled against earlier this season). White Sox starter Lance Lynn has been pitching well, but the Guardians have a solid edge in the bullpen department. Our bet is a half unit on the road dogs to win the game.
