We like the Blue Jays to avoid the sweep today at home against their division rivals. Time is of the essence here, so the quick reasoning behind this play is that we see a nice edge for the Blue Jays offensively, and a slight edge in this starting pitching matchup as well. The Orioles bullpen has pitched a lot of innings in this series, so they could be limited today. In this NL east showdown, we are going to back Max Scherzer. He's been fantastic since returning from the IL (1.36 ERA), and Scherzer just faced this Braves lineup about a week and a half ago. In that game Scherzer went 7 shutout innings, and struck out 11 hitters. He's 2-0 against the Braves this season. Jake Odorizzi faced the Mets back on August 6th, and he struggled. In addition to that, the Marlins (who are one of the worst hitting teams in baseball right now) just hit Odorizzi pretty hard in his last start. Our bet is one unit on the Mets moneyline.
